North Group Sierra Club is sponsoring a 7-mile, medium-difficulty hike to Clam Beach/Mouth of Mad River on Sun., May 9. Route includes some streams and wetlands, possible views of seals in river mouth. Return along Hammond Trail. Fit, well-socialized, leashed dogs with adequate water welcome. Two shallow stream crossings. This is a free hike for the general public. Meet 1 p.m. at Northernmost paved Clam Beach parking lot. Bring water & snacks. Rain cancels.
