This 8-mile, medium-difficulty hike starts in a "high country" prairie and descends 2250 feet to Redwood Creek. Then, hike downstream following the gravel bars. Bring footwear suitable for stream crossings (ankle deep). Leave the creek at the Tall Trees Grove where the world's tallest redwood tree was discovered in 1963 and hike uphill to cars.
