North Group Sierra Club Hike
What:
On Saturday, Apr. 24, the North Group Sierra Club is sponsoring a 9-mile, medium-difficulty hike to Table Bluff/Mouth of Eel River. Follow beach southerly 4.5 miles between ocean and sloughs, estuaries and marshlands. View abundant flora, occasional birds and wildlife in this varied coastal environment. Return route varies along dunes and McNulty Slough and bay. Carpools meet at Herrick Park-and-Ride lot at 9 a.m. or at beach below Table Bluff at 9:30 a.m. Rain or tsunami warning cancels.
