North Coast Parents’ Outing to Discovery Museum
Parents or caregivers of infants, toddlers or preschool-school aged child(ren) are invited to an outing at the Discovery Museum on Tuesday, January 5 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, 517 3rd St. (at F. St.) in Eureka. If you sign in as a guest under North Coast Parents’ sheet, there will be no charge. If you already have a Museum membership, please do not sign in on the North Coast Parents’ sheet.
Let your kids explore the museum and play with the water table, shopping area and slide. There is a secure spot for kids under three, which offers padded mats, toys, mirrors and books.
Sponsoring the outing is North Coast Parents (NCP), a local grassroots organization that was created 20 years ago to serve as a support group for parents of babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. NCP offers activities, small play groups, field trips, and meetings in safe, nurturing environments that provide socialization for young children and their parents. Also offered is a babysitting co-op, parents’ night out events and meals to new parents. A monthly newsletter listing NCP activities and family-oriented community events is sent to members.
