Night of the Clansman brings Clan Mateel to the Great Hall at the Mateel Community Center an evening of Celt music, kilts and tartans, leg of lamb and pints with poetry of Robert Burns. Clan Mateel gathers in kinship to celebrate Clansman David Gurley of Southern Humboldt County who is our first Head of the Table in celebration of winning a battle with liver cancer. May we all be so fortunate; as well as to choose OUR territorial tartan from the tartan contest applicants. The winning tartan will be woven on commission by a local weaver and then displayed throughout the land. RSVP please.
