The Program will be provided through the participation of members, guests, and the public who bring some of their roses and get the chance to prepare a variety of displays: English Box, American Box, Artist Palette, and a rose Floating in a suitable container.
English Box - 1) 6 regular-size (other than miniatures) of one variety or
a combination. (Varieties include hybrid tea, grandi-
flora, shrub, climbers.)
2) 6 miniature roses of one variety or a combination; this
includes mini-flora.
American Box - 9 miniature/mini-flora blooms in any geometric pattern,
two or more varieties, no foliage.
Artist's Palette - 5 different miniature blooms in a range of different
colors.
In the boxes and palette, there are to be no visible stems and foliage. The boxes and palette will be provided by the society.
Floating Rose - One rose, any type except miniature, at most perfect
stage, floating in a "suitable container" with one set of
detached leaves. Bring your own container for this one.
Any time miniature is mentioned, it also includes the mini-flora classification.
In the process of putting together these displays, our rosarian (expert) will discuss what makes a winner--it's a chance for us all to learn. You don't have to bring any roses to come and have the fun of seeing lovely blooms and share in the camaraderie; interested community members are always welcome. Refreshments will be served.
