Mayday Community Clean Up
What:
Been thinking globally?… Well here’s you chance to act locally! In an
effort to promote community enhancement and encourage
awareness of environmental issues, the City of Eureka will be
sponsoring the Mayday Community Clean Up Day along Eureka’s
Waterfront. On Saturday, May 8th, at 1pm volunteers will meet at
Halverson Park, the Eureka Boardwalk, Palco Marsh and the Elk
River Wildlife Sanctuary. Volunteers will be provided trash bags
and pickers, as well as refreshments. You can register online at
maydaycleanup.com, or call 441-4184 and mention the location
you’d like to help clean. Or just show up on Saturday
afternoon at the location of your choice and pitch in! After the
clean up, a volunteer appreciation event will be held at 3 pm on
the Boardwalk with live music from the Delta Nationals and a BBQ. In addition, drawings will be held for gift certificates provided by participating City of Eureka merchants! This is your chance to contribute to the quality of life for everyone here on our beautiful Northcoast. Let’s Team Up to Clean Up our waterfront!
