What:
Celebrate 30 years of salmon restoration and Humboldt history in the Mattole! The Mattole Salmon Group is a grass-roots community organization working to restore salmon runs in the Mattole River watershed. Their 30th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 6th at the Mattole Grange in Petrolia. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a Rita’s catered dinner of chips and salsa, enchiladas, and beans and rice. After dinner, there will be a silent auction and a brief recognition ceremony with highlights from the Mattole Salmon Group’s 30 years of passionate grassroots work in the watershed. Afterwards, dance the night away with fabulous local salsa band Ponche. Margaritas and beer will be available for an additional donation. There is a suggested $20-40 sliding scale, tax-deductible donation to attend, which includes the dinner.
