Made for Eachother

What:

Made For Each Other screens Sunday, July 19, at 4 p.m., 6:05 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Arcata Theatre Lounge, 1036 G St in Arcata. Box office opens 30 minutes  prior to screening. Matinees before 6 p.m. are $4 and movies starting after 6 p.m. cost $5.

Made For Each Other (1939) is a melodramatic comedy directed by John Cromwell. Newlyweds, John (James Stewart) and Jane Mason (Carole Lombard), struggle through their first year a marriage, plagued by money problems, illness and a meddlesome live-in mother-in-law. To top it all off, their baby son is dying of pneumonia, and can only be saved by a serum that must be flown from Salt Lake City to New York, when all flights have been grounded by impassable weather conditions. Through all this turmoil, their love never falters, as they were “Made for Each Other.”
