LEGO Engineering FUNdamentals

What:

Sign up now for Green Engineering with LEGO®.  Amon Armstrong leads this five week class where kids design and build motorized machines, pyramids, demolition derby cars, truss and suspension bridges, buildings, and other constructions.  Meet at the Redwood Lodge in Arcata on Saturdays, March 19 to April 16 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.  This is a hands-on and minds-on class for ages 6 to 12 years with the understanding of LEGO® fundamentals.  Create and have a great time with versatile LEGO® building systems in the context of fun-filled engineering and architectural projects.  Amon introduces the daily project then assists the children in realizing their own ideas during design and building time.  Students develop and enhance problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.  They also learn concepts and vocabulary of engineering, architecture, and physics in a creative, playful atmosphere.  * Fees*: $90 / $100 non-Arcata resident.  Look forward to one more five week session beginning in April.  Contact the Arcata Recreation Division office for pre-registration information at (707) 822-7091
