What:
The Bureau of Land Management and its partners invite you to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the King Range National Conservation Area. Please join us for any or all of the following activities.
Celebrations for the fortieth anniversary of the Bureau of Land Management’s King Range National Conservation Area will take place in the King Range on September 10, 11, and 12. On Sunday the 12th there will be a bird watching trip at Shelter Cove. Meet at the LIGHTHOUSE at 8 AM. We will look for seabirds from the bluffs and look elsewhere depending upon the turnout, weather, and interest. Please bring your spotting scope and binoculars if possible. No dogs, please. Dress warmly as sea breezes may be cool. Following the walk, from 1 to 5 PM there will be food, music and celebrations at the Clubhouse in Shelter Cove. Please join us to celebrate this priceless jewell of our wilderness heritage. For more information you may contact the BLM King Range Project Office at 707-986-5415 or Robert Sutherland, trip leader, at (707) 986-1112.
