Parents or caregivers of babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children are invited to come to North Coast Parents’ annual picnic potluck on Saturday, September 25 from 3:00–7:00 pm at Freshwater County Park (3100 Freshwater Road.) There is a $5 fee per car to park.
North Coast Parents will supply the main entree and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will also be holding a shoe drive to donate to those in need around the world. Please bring shoes, slippers, etc. of any size, in good condition.
Sponsoring the annual picnic and shoe drive is North Coast Parents (NCP), a local grassroots organization that was created 21 years ago to serve as a support group for parents of babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. NCP offers activities, small play groups, field trips, and meetings in safe, nurturing environments that provide socialization for young children and their parents. Also offered is a babysitting co-op, parents’ night out events and meals to new parents. A monthly newsletter listing NCP activities and family-oriented community events is sent to members.
