What:
Parents or caregivers of babies, toddlers and preschool aged children are invited to a free Craft Time on Friday, July 9 from 10:00-11:30 am in the Humboldt Area Foundation’s Conference Room, 373 Indianola Road, Bayside.
Bring even the youngest child for this fun and easy stained “glass” craft project. If you have some dried flowers you’d like to use, please bring them. Also, the Humboldt Area Foundation is collecting non-perishable food and hygiene items to donate to Food for People, so you may donate during Craft Time if you wish.
Sponsoring the craft time is North Coast Parents (NCP), a local grassroots organization that was created 20 years ago to serve as a support group for parents of babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. NCP offers activities, small play groups, field trips, and meetings in safe, nurturing environments that provide socialization for young children and their parents. Also offered is a babysitting co-op, parents’ night out events and meals to new parents. A monthly newsletter listing NCP activities and family-oriented community events is sent to members. Summer membership is $20 and annual membership is $35 . Scholarships are available. For more information on NCP, please call 444-3627 or look at our website for our current activities schedule at www.northcoastparents.org.
