KEET Wine Tasting, Dinner and Auction

What:

EUREKA - KEET-TV, the North Coast’s public television station, is holding its 13th Annual Wine Tasting, Dinner and Auction on Saturday, April 30th from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Arcata Community Center. The fundraiser supports the local, commercial-free broadcast of PBS television programs ranging from Sesame Street to NOVA and Frontline. Attendees will enjoy tasting wine from 17 outstanding local and regional wineries, which offers interesting opportunities to talk with the winemakers about their philosophies and processes.  The theme this year is “Around the World With KEET,” and attendees will enjoy a culinary tour of France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India and the U.S. provided by Abruzzi Catering.

The evening also features live and silent auctions for vacation packages, magnums and cases of fine wines, spa treatments, winemaker dinners and more. Auctioneers, Cliff and Amy Berkowitz of KHUM-FM, will take bids on trips to New Orleans, Yosemite, Baja, Lake Tahoe, Newport Beach, Benbow Inn and Palm Springs, as well as on fine artwork by local artists such as George Bouquet, Peggy Loudon, Jim McVicker, Claire Iris Schencke, Mel Schuler and Linda Wise.  All funds raised at the event benefit the North Coast’s public television station’s community outreach services and educational programs on their three digital channels: KEET-HD, KEET World and KEET Create.

Tickets to this event are $70 for general entrance ($65 for KEET members).  Reserved tables for eight are available for purchase in advance. Tickets may be reserved in advance by calling KEET at (707) 445-0813.  Tickets will be available at the door on a first-come first-served basis.

The 13th Annual KEET-TV Wine Tasting, Auction and Dinner is sponsored by the North Coast Co-op, KHSU FM, KHUM FM, KSLG FM, KXGO and KWPT FM.
