Jeff DeMark and the La Patinas

What:

Writer/performer Jeff DeMark  and the La Patinas perform original stories, songs and spoken word at the Arcata Playhouse, 1261 Ninth Street, on Saturday, January 30 beginning at 8 p.m. 

Additionally, special guests Jackie Dandeneau, Jim Silva and Jesse DeMark will perform with the band.  Tickets for the show are $8 for seniors and students and $10 general and will be available at the door.  Lost Coast Brewery is a major sponsor of the show and Northcoast Horticulture Supply is also sponsoring the event.

The LaPatinas are Damon Brooks on guitar, Paul DeMark on drums, Ross Rowley on bass.  Paul DeMark and Rowley are the rhythm section on the popular dance band the Delta Nationals. Damon Brooks is the lead guitarist with the roots band Trifecta and has played with Donna Landry.  DeMark performed at  two shows with  the band underneath his stories in November 2009 at the  Humboldt Brewery and at the Westhaven Center for the Arts and both shows drew good crowds.

Jeff DeMark has been performing his stories and one-man shows in Humboldt County for 20 years.  He has five solo shows to his credit and has performed them all over the North Coast and in theaters and clubs in San Francisco, New York City, Minneapolis, Eugene and Madison, Wi.  He has collaborated with musical groups the Violent Femmes and Paul Cebar and the Milwaukeeans.
