Sanctuary Forest Hike
What:
The 2010 hike series is a collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management and Sanctuary Forest. Sanctuary Forest /BLM invite you to our Big Red-Ancient Redwoods Hike on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Sanctuary Forest board member, Janice Parakilas and Richard Gienger lead this 5-6 hour rigorous hike from the Mattole River to the ridge top and back to the Mattole for a total of 4 miles. Along the ridge top, we will eat lunch and share stories about the community”s historic efforts to preserve different areas of this forest. Hikers will meet at Shadowbrook at 9:00am for this hike. Bring water, wear sturdy shoes.
