Ink People’s Women’s Clothing Exchange and Potluck Feast

What:

Do you often feel overwhelmed in the mornings when you look into your closet that is crammed full of a million items? Have you lost weight and your clothes are too baggy? Gained weight and your clothes are too tight? Is there a sweater in there that has snowmen and pine trees made of felt embroidered onto it? Perhaps it’s something that your mother-in-law bought 10 years ago and you have always felt to guilty to get rid of it?  Perhaps you are just hungry and you need a good excuse to hang out with a bunch of fabulous women and feast on an amazing array of delectable decadence…. If any of these scenarios apply… join us at The Ink People for a WOMENS CLOTHING EXCHANGE PARTY AND POTLUCK on FRIDAY October 8th 2010.

We will be “feasting & exchanging” from 5:30pm until 8pm at the Ink People In Suite 40, located at 517 3rd St. on the 3rd floor of the Carson Block Building, just off 3rd street between F & G St. in Old Town Eureka above The Discovery Museum.

Please arrive before 5:30, as the main door is locked at 5:30 & it’s hard to get people in to the building after that.   We will hopefully have a volunteer at the door until 5:45, but that is the cut off time for all arrivals unless previous arrangements are made.  If you should arrive late please call 442-8413… we will try to send someone down to let you in.

Bring your gently worn, used clothing and a potluck dish to share.  This event is for women only (sorry guys… nothing personal.)  There is no fee, but donations are gladly accepted and appreciated greatly!!!! All donations support The Ink People Center for the Arts and their many programs!   Donations of paper goods (napkins, plates, cups) and plastic wear are gladly accepted as well.

All “left over” clothing will be donated to a local charity such as The Raven Project, The Multiple Assistance Center (MAC), HUM-Works, The Arcata Endeavor, Angels of Hope Thrift Shop, etc.

For more information Please contact Tanya at The Ink People for more information (tanya@inkpeople.org) 442-8413.  We are open Tuesday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
