The Ian Fays sound is anchored by the sweet delicate vocal harmonies of twin sisters Lizz and Sara Fay, with Lizz strumming guitar and Sara laying down dainty basslines. They are supported by their brother Bradley who plays the drums and their sister Lena, who takes care of the triangle, castanets and the occasional screams and woo’s. “In an ideal world, the twins, Lizz and Sara, and their bandmates would be the new princesses of pop – in the best sense of the word: simple but gorgeous melodies, toy casios…” - Panoplie Zine/Indie Compilation, Luxembourg

“Next time you plan to end up lying on your back on a summer’s evening, a little tiddly, watching the stars twinkle and roll through your hazy vision, plan to have Strix Vega’s new album with you. After about a minute of second track “Tides” has passed, the album title makes perfect sense. The guitar playing is woozy and loose, with just the right amount of bluesy embellishment…virtually every song on this atmospheric collection has a similarly affecting vibe, as well as the length and development of a genuine live performance. Highlight “Luck Runs Dry” features a wistful chorus straight out of Ian Brown’s solo catalogue and a simple blues riff borrowed from either Zeppelin or Floyd…Strix Vega are a fine “drunken” blues-rock band who know their strengths and have succeeded in charming the US West Coast with their raw and wistful take on a tired genre. Remember to pack their album for festival season - you never know when you’ll need it.” –Chris McCague of Tasty Fanzine, UK

thelittlestillnotbigenough is a concept, like a burning light which is kindled in the solar-plexus of each of our tumultuous ensemble. those of us who huddle together to create sound in unison become the “band” and by doing so we vibrate as one. yet those who prefer to go alone are sadly wished “farewell!” and set free. we continue to be an ever-expanding, ever-rotating cast of ghosts, brought together by an insatiable desire to make music in a dangerously dynamic and constantly creative aether-realm. “Snobbish individuals could draw comparisons to the work of indie-mainstays such as Animal Collective or The Books, but that would be to undermine the fact that both live and recorded, tlsnbe sound largely unlike anything else currently on the market…entirely poetic, wholly insightful, and hellishly absurd.” –Juliana Boggs
