Humboldt Sponsors 13th Annual Wine and Brew Tasting
What:
Humboldt Sponsors, the largest supporter of Humboldt County youth, will hold its 13th annual Wine and Brew Tasting on Thursday, May 13th, 2010, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Baywood Golf and Country Club, 3600 Buttermilk Lane in Arcata. This annual fundraiser will feature wine and micro-brew tasting, a live and silent auction, and hors d’oeuvres provided by Baywood. All proceeds go to benefit children in Humboldt County. More than $66,000 in grant money was recently awarded by Humboldt Sponsors to local youth organizations for educational, recreational and cultural activities and for assistance in youth programs. Tickets for the Wine and Brew Tasting will be available at the door for a $30 donation per person.
Of particular interest at this year’s event is an opportunity drawing for a ladies checkerboard-cut garnet necklace and earring set in white and yellow gold with channel set accent diamonds, valued at $1200.00, which has been generously donated by Janis Siggins of Siggins Jewelry Center in Henderson Center. Opportunity drawing tickets may be purchased at the event for 3 for $25.00 or $10.00 each, with all proceeds going to Humboldt Sponsors. Need not be present to win.
