It’s time to start getting your garden soil ready for coming spring activities. Two garden gurus, Pat Hamilton and Patrice Reed, of the Humboldt Rose Society, will provide the program at the coming February HRS meeting: Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 15th and H Streets, Eureka. It’s alfalfa tea time, folks. Learn the recipe and other tips, especially for roses, but also for the garden in general.
