Arcata UMC members helping New Orleans rebuild
“You can’t throw a rock anywhere in New Orleans these days without hitting a church work team.” Judy Longshore, Martha Bolt and the Rev. Cindy Storrs, along with 20 other Northern California United Methodists, recently traveled to New Orleans as part of the denomination’s “Volunteers in Mission” program. Come see, and hear about the ongoing housing and community repair and rehabilitation work that they participated in during their week in the Louisiana this Sunday January 31, 2010. The three will lead Sunday worship at both 9 and 11 AM. A special New Orleans style coffee hour will follow both services. Child Care is available at the 11AM service.
