Local bands, caterer, media, breweries and wineries team up for Haiti earthquake relief benefit at the Bayside Grange. The “From Humboldt to Haiti” earthquake relief benefit will take place at the Bayside Grange on Friday, February 5, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The event includes performances by Kulica, Lila Nelson, Greg Lojko (of the Bad Lilas), and Uke Sperience. Blackberry Bramble BBQ and Catering will provide BBQ dishes for sale beginning at 6 pm, including vegetarian options. Local wines and will also be available for purchase. Tickets for the event will be sold at the door and cost $10 for adults, $5 for those under 18. Kids under 12 get in free. The Bayside Grange is located at 2297 Jacoby Creek Road in Bayside, near the intersection with Old Arcata Road . Silent auction and raffle items are being collected and volunteers are needed. Anyone with items, services, or time to donate can call Kate Martin at (707) 362-6715. All proceeds will be sent to four organizations that are helping those affected by the Haiti Earthquake, including Partners in Health, Aid to Artisans, Lamp for Haiti , and InterNews. From Humboldt to Haiti is being co-sponsored by the Bayside Grange, Blackberry Bramble BBQ and Catering, KSHU, KHUM, KSLG, the Point, and the Sound Pedaler.
