Humboldt County Evening of Talent

What:

The Evening of Talent will be at the beautiful Arkley Center for the Performing Arts on April 23, 2010, and will showcase the best in local talent.Soroptimist of Arcata (SIA) and CASA of Humboldt have teamed up to host this fundraiser, showcasing the most talented performers Humboldt has to offer, while raising funds for the community.

Local performers were invited to audition for the first annual Evening of Talent. Adults 18 years of age or older are encouraged to audition for this remarkable event! Any type of talent is welcome. While expert judges will be on hand to critique the performanwce, the audience will decide who will be named Humboldt County’s Most Talented Performer.

Auditions were held on February 6th and 20th, and the top 11 performers were chosen to compete for the title of “Humboldt’s Most Talented”.

Local celebrity judges will combine their efforts with those of the voting audience to choose the winner. Our judges will use their wealth of performance knowledge and challenge themselves to select just one person to claim the title of Humboldt’s Most Talented. For a final verdict, you the audience, have the opportunity to vote on your choice.  Your votes combined with the judges will decide the winner!  That act will have the opportunity to headline next year’s show.

Join the fun and help raise money for those in need in our community. Be a part of the excitement either as a talent participant or an audience participant. Either way, the evening promises to thrill.

The event will benefit Soropitmist International of Arcata and CASA of Humboldt. Both represent a group of dedicated community members who have chosen to volunteer their time to raise money for each group’s given cause.  You can learn what Soroptimist International of Arcata and CASA of Humboldt do and how your donations will benefit our community.
