Three nationally known speakers who have roots in Humboldt County have agreed to participate in this year’s Humboldt Botanical Garden Foundation’s speakers’ symposium. North Coast Journal Garden Writer Amy Stewart is one of the three. Chris Carley who maintains a home in Trinidad is the Supervisory Horticulturist for the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington D.C. He will talk about a unique conifer collection. And Eureka native Jim Zarucchi who has edited and published 18 books on North American flora will speak.
