Humboldt Bay Water Trails Implementation Program Open House
Have you ever wondered what a ‘water trail’ might look like on Humboldt Bay? Have you had ideas about making it easier and safer for paddlers to explore the bay’s treasures? Water trails are general water-based routes primarily for people using non-motorized boats, such as kayaks or canoes, and are ‘anchored’ to land by paddling access points. Drop by the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center on Thursday, July 24, 2008 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to view and comment on draft designs for improvements to existing paddling access points, interpretive materials, and suggestions for future phases of this project. The Natural Resources Services Division (NRS) of the Redwood Community Action Agency is hosting this public event in partnership with the Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation, and Conservation District and the State Coastal Conservancy. Please share your input at the public open house on Thursday, July 24, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, located at 921 Waterfront Drive, Eureka, CA 95501. Contact Chris Lohoefener at (707) 269-2064 or lohoefener@nrsrcaa.org for more information.
