Homegrown Hip-Hop

What:

On Saturday, May 8th, the Mateel Community Center in Redway presents the return of Homegrown Hip Hop.  An annual celebration of conscious CA grown hip hop, this special edition will celebrate pioneering women in the genre.  Featuring Grammy-award nominated female hip-hop pioneer Mystic; “the party slapper,” DJ Pam The Funkstress (from The Coup); and the soulful disco-tinged hip hop of Alex Lee and her live band, LeVice, this will be a show that is not to be missed.

Tickets are on sale now at the usual local outlets and online at www.inticketing.com.  They are priced at $22 in advance and admission at the door will be $25.  MCC members and teens will receive a $2 discount.  Doors open at 8pm with music from 8:30 til late.
