The Elect Mike Hislop for Humboldt County Sheriff campaign is having a fundraising dinner and silent auction on Monday, March 1st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Babetta’s Restaurant, 1587 Myrtle Avenue in Eureka. A traditional family style spaghetti dinner will be served. The price is $30 for adults; $5 for children under 12 years old.
Silent auction items at the fundraiser include a week’s stay at a condominium in Maui and a football signed by local resident and current Cincinnati Bengal player, Ray Maualuga.
The event is an opportunity for members of the community to meet Hislop and ask questions about his goals and plans for the Sheriff’s Office.
Hislop brings 30 years experience in a wide range of law enforcement assignments. He is the Chief Investigator for the Humboldt County District Attorney’s office, and has a proven track record of thinking “outside the box”, promoting service to the community, personal integrity and strongly believes in fiscal responsibility. He worked for the Eureka Police Department for 24 years promoting to Sergeant before taking the Chief Investigator position at the Office of Humboldt County District Attorney’s.
