Redwood Empire Quilters Guild and Plaza Design have partnered this year to help promote the REQG “Heart of the Redwoods” Quilt Show, July 18th from 10:00 to 5:00 and July 19th from 10:00 to 4:00, at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Admission at the Fairgrounds will be as follows: $8.00 for a weekend pass; $6.00 for a senior weekend pass; $4.00 for children 6-12 years; children 5 and under are free.

Plaza Design is helping promote the "Heart of the Redwoods" Quilt Show by having a quilt show in their Eureka Store during the months of June and July. Contributing to the Plaza Design show are Jody Rusconi, Gerry Smeltzer, Barbara Clark, Nola Flynn, Diane Goldsmith-Hargar, Carol Hansen, Donna Parker and Pat Durbin.

The Plaza Design quilt show will be a wonderful precursor to the “Heart of the Redwoods” Show. Prepare to be dazzled by these wonderful quilts, many of them award winners. During Arts Alive, June 6th, the “Heart of the Redwoods” raffle quilt, ‘Sunrise Moods’, will be on display and raffle tickets will be available for purchase: $1 each or 6 for $5.

Besides over 300 to 350 quilts on display created by over 110 quilters, vendors that will be attending the “Heart of the Redwoods” Quilt Show this year come from as far away as Pennsylvania, Utah, Missouri and Colorado as well as the fantastic vendors from closer to home, Oregon and California. Not only will there be numerous quilt shops represented bringing with them the finest selection of fabrics, there will also be vendors specializing in Original design patterns, Rotary cutters and mats, Imported, Handcrafted Jewelry and Imported Hand-dyed Sun cloth from South Africa and Australian Aboriginal Designs; Ethnic and Contemporary Fabrics; Embellishments; Original Collectible Bears and Dolls; Mini Irons; Hand Quilting Patterns and Tools; Hand Dyed and Over Dyed Fabrics and Trims; Long Arm Quilter and Quilting; Antiques and Handmade tools & other products for quilters.
