Living Earth Landscapes invites the public to a free presentation about hardscaping options for the home landscape on Saturday, October 2 from 12 to 1 p.m. at its nursery and water garden center located at 5307 Boyd Road (next to Three G’s Hay and Grain) in Arcata. Licensed contractor Keith Hamm presents considerations for installation or renovation of hardscape features, including comparisons of costs and performance for several hardscape options: deck vs. patio, concrete vs. flagstone, mow strips vs. edging, wood chip vs. gravel paths.
