The Fortuna Rodeo is a week-long family festival with something for everyone, which begins on Monday with a Chili Cookoff downtown and winds up on Sunday with the last of the Rodeo events. It's no wonder that Fortuna hosts the oldest and longest running annual rodeo on the North Coast!

Events have grown from three days of rodeo stunts, barbecue and dance to a week full of festivities, including a parade, games, street dancing and carnival. The community turns out all week to join in the festivities.

Monday: Chili Cookoff– 5: 30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tasting starts at 5:30pm on Main St.

Tuesday: Redwood Village Children's Games-6:30 p.m. Kids-geared fun sponsored by shopping center businesses. Children’s Fireman muster, little cowboy/cowgirl dress-up contest and more.

Wednesday: Main Street Kid's Games and Penny Scramble– 6:00 p.m. – 9:00p.m. Crazy games for kids and adults. Egg Toss, Kids Stick Horse races and the penny scramble

Thursday: Carnival, Junior Rodeo, Fireman's Games Noon - Rodeo Carnival opens in Rohner Park; 6:30 p.m. - Fireman's Games on Main Street; 6-8:30 p.m. Junior Rodeo in Rodeo Grounds.

Friday: Junior Rodeo, Kidnapped Tourists, Carnival, Rodeo Contests 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Junior Rodeo; 11:30 a.m. Chamber Kidnapped Tourist Mock Trial, 14th and Main Sts.; Noon- Carnival Opens; 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Jack Pot Roping;

6:00 p.m. Family Night- ATV Races, Piñata, Animal Scramble and “Quadiators” in Rodeo Grounds Bear River Casino night ($3 Admission).

Saturday: Bear River Casino Day, Pancake Breakfast, Slack Team Roping, Horseshoe Pitch Tournament, Carnival, Parade, Rodeo, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Cowboy Mixer/BBQ/Dance 7:00 a.m. - Pancake Breakfast, Rohner Park; 8:00 a.m. - Horse Shoe Pitch, Noon - Carnival Opens; Noon- Parade, Main Street down Fortuna Blvd.; 2:00 p.m. - Rodeo Opens; 6:00 p.m. – “Cowboy Mixer” and Dance, Fireman’s Pavilion
