Fortuna Concert Series presents a violin-piano duo at the Fortuna Monday Club Saturday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. Violinist Terrie Baune returns to the Concert Series stage for a classical concert with new piano partner John Chernoff.
Terrie Baune is currently Concert-master of the Eureka Symphony, the North State Symphony (Chico and Redding, CA), Co-Concert-master of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and is a member of the professional new-music chamber ensemble Earplay. Ms. Baune is the Associate Director of the Humboldt Chamber Music Workshop and a faculty member of the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop.
John Chernoff has been an active pianist in a variety of musical genres, performing across the United States, including appearances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and Symphony Space in New York City. John has also served as an accompanist for the Heifetz International Music Institute, coach for the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop, and soloist with the Eureka Symphony.
Concert time is 7:30 p.m. at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street in Fortuna. Ticket prices are General Admission $8; Students and Seniors $6. Pre-sale tickets are available at Green’s Fortuna Pharmacy in Fortuna, Fortuna Music Mart in Fortuna and Eureka; Becker’s Insurance Agency in Ferndale, Berliner’s Cornucopia in Eureka.
