Forestry Practices Perspectives Hike

What:

The 2010 hike series is a collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management and Sanctuary Forest.  Sanctuary Forest /BLM invite you to join the Forestry Practices Perspectives Hike on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Mike Jani of Humboldt Redwoods Company and Tim Metz of Restoration Forestry will discuss different forestry practices..  We will meet at the big wide turn out at the intersection of Elk River Road and Herrick just off  highway 101 at the south end of Eureka at 10:00am.  It will be a four hour moderate hike with an half hour drive at each end.  The hike should end  around 3:00pm. Bring a lunch and lots of water, wear sturdy shoes, and wear layers.  You may sign up at the BLM King project office or call 707-986-5415.  For a complete list of hikes, visit sanctuaryforest.org.
