What:
“Fore Our Youth” Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Over 2,000 Local Youth!
Benefit golf tournament offers a $25,000 Hole-In-One Prize, located at Hole #5 at Baywood Golf & Country Club, along with over $900 in valued prize winnings. If you’re donating to one good cause this year, have fun doing it and get a tax benefit by sponsoring a team or hole!
Boys & Girls Club of America and Kiwanis International formed a national partnership in 2008. The Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods and the Kiwanis Club of Eureka-Humboldt Bay have embraced this partnership on a local level teaming again to host an annual golf tournament, benefiting the Eureka-Humboldt Bay Kiwanis Scholarship Fund and Summer Programs for the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods. The Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods serves over 2,000 youth annually in both Humboldt and Del Norte counties, via after school and summer programs. The Club’s service reach extends from Loleta to Crescent City, with a focus on positive youth development. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Locally, Kiwanis Club of Eureka-Humboldt Bay provides support to local youth service organizations, youth sports programs, college scholarships and performing countless other projects to help children.
In a time when resources are scarce, youth need us the most. The Boys & Girls Club is excited to be partnering with Kiwanis Club of Eureka-Humboldt Bay for this golf tournament, giving the community an opportunity to stretch their resources between two laudable causes.
The “Fore Our Youth” golf tournament will take place starting at noon, Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Baywood Golf & Country Club.
