Eureka Symphony: Two Views of America

What:

The fourth concert of the Eureka Symphony 2009-2010 season will be held  Friday and Saturday evenings, May 21-22, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. at the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts.  The theme  is TWO VIEWS OF AMERICA. Having dusted the volcano Eyjafallajokull’s dust from her baton following her recent, prolonged trip to Italy,  Carol Jacobson will conduct  the Eureka Symphony’s  performance of Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring  and William Grant Still’s Symphony #1, Afro-American Symphony.Included in the evening’s program is Ernest Chausson’s Poème, with featured violinist Terrie Baune accompanied by the Eureka Symphony.
Single concert tickets are available for premium seating sections:  LOGE: $23; Center Orchestra: $21.    Non-preferential seating prices are $16 for Adults and $9 for Students.   Under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
