White Cane Days Fundraiser

What:

The McKinleyville Lions Club will be conducting its annual “White Cane Days” fundraiser Friday through Sunday at several locations.

This is a major fundraiser for Lions Clubs worldwide.

McKinleyville Lions members will be at the Kmart, Safeway and Ray’s Food Place stores in McKinleyville on Friday and Saturday from 10a.m. to 4p.m. They will also be at Kmart and Ray’s Food Place from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Sunday.

All donations received during this annual event are used strictly for sight-related issues in the local community, such as eye exams or glasses for those who need assistance. This is the principal project the McKinleyville Lions Club has sponsored since it was first chartered in 1962. The club is also involved in many other local projects.

To make a contribution, look for McKinleyville Lions members in their gold vests handing out “White Canes.” For more information, please contact Lion Bob at (707) 839-3768.
