Coming up: Casting Call! Missoula Children’s Theatre at the Mateel Community Center
Missoula Children’s Theatre will be back at the Mateel Community Center for the 18th year October 4th through 9th. This professional touring theatre company does a week-long residency at the Mateel every Fall, and will be once again be casting local school age kids in virtually every facet of theatre production, from stagehands, to actors, to assistant directors. Casting begins promptly at 4pm on Monday, October 4th at the Mateel Community Center. Up to 60 roles are available for local students in grades K-12. The program is offered free of charge and selected participants will rehearse every day after school throughout that week, culminating in a grand performance of the play on Saturday, October 9th.
This year’s production is Treasure Island. Throughout the week of focused rehearsals, children are learning a variety of art forms including movement and dance, vocal skills, drama, visual art and more. We are confident you will be amazed by what they accomplish!
