What:
Baba Jamal Koram, a master storyteller in the African-American folklore tradition, and the North Coast Storytellers will perform Saturday, January 16, at 7:00 pm at the Arcata Presbyterian Church at 11th and G. “Tell Me A Story” is sponsored by the Ink People Center for the Arts. Koram is distinguished in upholding storytelling traditions in a broad spectrum of cultures, from academic settings to youth programs. The North Coast Storytellers include Anita Punla, Carol Larsen, Dan O’Gara, Seabury Gould, Ali Freedlund, Ross Mackinney, Charlene Storr, and Aaron Garrett. The first hour of the performance will be stories told by the North Coast Storytellers; the second hour will feature Jamal Koram.
