Rumplestiltskin

What:

The Ferndale Repertory Theatre’s Holiday Matinee Series presents Rumplestiltskin December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 at 10:00am (weekday mornings) at the theatre, 447 Main Street in Ferndale. Written by Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm and published in 1857, the fairy tale has been adapted for the Rep stage by Vikki Young, bringing to life the story of a father who makes a statement he can’t back up, a greedy king who gets more than he bargained for,  a girl who makes a promise she is not prepared to keep and the “funny little man” with the Midas touch. The cast includes Holiday Matinee Company players James Berry, Renee Grinnell, Carolyn Jones, and Marilyn McCormick.

A lively Q&A follows the performance when children meet the actors, ask questions about the production and learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make live theatre happen.

In an ongoing effort to present the arts to our Humboldt County children, school groups are invited to attend at $1.00 per person. This show is sponsored by the Bertha Russ Lytel Foundation and is also included in the Rep Season Ticket.
