Don’t miss this evening of comedy madness at the Arcata Playhouse! The comic duo Third Base! presents Myths of the Plastic Age, an amazing collection of stories featuring incompetent hunters, ancient dueling janitors, befuddled royalty and a host of other bizarre characters, including appearances by those notorious local clowns Emperor Norton and Ferdinand the Magnificent. The show is a collision of physical comedy, zany word play and spectacle that ranges from the lyrical to the absurd. The brainchild of local performers Nick Trotter and Jerry Lee Wallace, Third Base! re-styles the classic “comic duo” with just a few hats, simple props and long white underwear. Come see their unique blend of the sophisticated and ridiculous in an evening of fun for all ages! Myths of the Plastic Age also features original music in a special collaboration with New York theatre/music group Bonejesters.
