There’s a brand new theater company in town, The Rialto!
Under the direction of Samantha McLaughlin, the first production
is Inspecting Carol, a hilarious holiday romp being staged for the
first time in Humboldt County!

Written by Daniel J. Sullivan, “Inspecting Carol” follows a theater
company going through the motions rehearsing for their annual
fundraiser performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”.
They’re out of money and patience and waiting for an inspector to arrive from the National Endowment of the
Arts who will determine if their grant will be renewed. A case of
mistaken identity leads them to perform an absurd version of the
show wherein everything that could possibly go wrong, does! The
audience will howl at the foibles of these talented, very funny
actors playing very human actors in rehearsal, and their cataclysmic performance for funding! “You’ll Laugh Your
Dickens Off!”
