Internationally renowned herbalist and aromatherapist Mindy Green will be signing her book,  Aromatherapy, A Complete Guide to the Healing Art at Humboldt Herbals during Arts Alive on March 6th from 6:30 to 8:30.  Aromatherapy offers countless uses, from cosmetics to therapeutics for balancing body, mind, and spirit. Drawing on 75 combined years of experience in botanical therapies, Mindy and co-author Kathi Keville offer the latest information for aromatherapy practitioners and students, providing an invaluable resource that includes more than 90 formulas for using essential oils in health and first aid, skin and hair care, massage, relaxation, and more.

      A prolific writer and lecturer, Ms. Green has authored over 40 articles and professional papers on botanicals, and three books with contributions to numerous others. She conducts seminars and training programs for professionals and the lay public, and provides consulting services in many aspects of complementary health care. As an expert in botanical therapies, she has provided hundreds of interviews with leading magazines and newspapers on herbs and health.

      In her long and storied career, Mindy has served as Program Specialist for the Integrative Resource Center at the University of Colorado Hospital, Anschutes Cancer Center, where she developed specialized programs on complementary therapies for patients and staff. She has been Director of Education and Director of Research at the Herb Research Foundation’s non-profit medical library, and co-director of the California School of Herbal Studies for over a decade.

She is a nationally certified Registered Aromatherapist, a founding member of the American Herbalists Guild and associate editor of the American Herb Association Newsletter. She has served on the education committees of the Aromatherapy Registration Council and the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists, and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
