Take a step into the past this Fourth of July weekend! Enjoy an afternoon of patriotic music with friends and family.
The Eureka Symphony will present its second annual Star-Spangled 3rd with a patriotic brass band concert featuring The Eureka Symphony’s Brass Ensemble on the Great Lawn at Fern Cottage in Ferndale. In addition to the rousing, patriotic music, tours of the grounds and the historic home of Joseph and Zipporah Russ, there will be an old-fashioned ice cream social. Tours of the pioneer home and the ice cream social will be after the concert. Fern Cottage is located three miles west of downtown Ferndale, at 2121 Centerville Road. The concert is 2-4 p.m., Sunday, July 3rd, 2011.
Reservations are encouraged for the limited seating for the concert. Tickets may be reserved by calling 786-4835. The prices are $25/person; $40/ a couple; and $50/ fmilies of 3-6. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Eureka Symphony and the Fern Cottage Foundation.
