What:
Gilbert & Sullivan’s rousing and ridiculous spoof of Victorian England returns to the stage this summer! HLOC’s production features soaring sopranos Fiona Ryder (Mabel), Katherine Kinley (Edith) and Amy Chalfant (Kate), the charm and noble sensibility of James Gadd (Frederic), the wit and ruth-lessness of Cindy Cress (the nurse), the fleet feet of Craig Benson (Sergeant), a mouthful of absolute nonsense by Ellsworth Pence (a very modern Major General)… and Bill Ryder, reprising his charismatic role as The Pirate King. Together with a choir of sixty singer-actors, an orchestra, an onstage ship with full mechanical movement and too many special effects to list, this is the show you won’t want to miss!
The Pirates of Penzance will be held at the HSU Van Duzer Theater in August. Evening shows are Fridays and Saturdays, August 6th & 7th, 13th & 14th, and 20th & 21st at 7:30 pm. Sunday matinees are August 8th and 15th at 2pm.
Advance tickets are highly recommended as some show dates will sell out. Reservations will be available starting July 26th, online via this website and over the phone.
