An Evening of Jazz

The community is invited to “An Evening of Jazz” with Rose Armin-Hoiland & Darius Brotman at 7 PM Friday, January 15, 2010. A donation is requested of $15 at the door. This is a benefit for the New Orleans Youth Project. Funds raised will go to helping homeless youth in New Orleans. The event takes place at the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, at 24 Fellowship Way in Bayside (off of Jacoby Creek Road).
The natural talents of jazz vocalist Rose Armin-Hoiland and Darius Brotman is a gift to our community and to the efforts to assist youth in New Orleans. Rose casts us into a musical spell as she explores with her voice classic jazz tunes to Darius’ cool jazz piano.
Local wines will be for sale by the glass between 7 and 8 PM. Coffee and dessert will be served at intermission. This event is sponsored by the Social Action Committee of the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and The Arcata/Camoapa Sister City Project. For more information, call 826-1738.
