Breakfast in Bayside is proud to feature Redwing, playing live music for your enjoyment on Sunday morning.Redwing, comprised of Ebba Fournier, Jennifer Mason & Kurt Hippen, plays a mix of Irish, old-time, folk and some bluegrass Jenny and Ebba have put together some sweet harmonies.
Ebba Fournier was born and raised in Denmark, started playing music, guitar, at 14 years of age and did “Open Mike” with her music teacher at that time, mainly Folk Music. She played in 3 different bands starting at 19 to 26 years old, ranging from Rock Band stuff over Folk Rock, and back to acoustic music with Danish lyrics. When she moved across the pond she played steady at the Beanery in Ashland in the early -80’s for a couple of years, and then again with a partner in -98 while living in Burnt Ranch. Ebba is now happy to be back in the swing of it with Jenny and Kurt, doing what makes her little heart swell.
Jenny Mason has lived and played music in Humboldt Co. for over 33 years, including playing for Contra dances and in various string bands . During her stay in Willow Creek, she participated musically in many Redbud Theater productions. She is glad to be back on the coast, playing and singing with all the fine musicians this place has to offer.
Kurt Hippen is a 36 year resident of the Humboldt Bay area, and has been playing old time music for 38 years. He has been in several old time and bluegrass bands over the years, and has written a banjo instruction/tablature book.
