The Rio Dell Police Dept, CHP, and Humboldt County Youth Driving Coalition are proud to present Drive Safe- Drive Smart: A FREE event for teens and their parents at the Volunteer Fire Dept in Rio Dell on August 26, 2010. Free pizza, beverages and door prizes will be provided. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of injury and death for young people in Humboldt County, and the Rio Dell Police Dept wants to put an end to these preventable tragedies.
Join the California Highway Patrol, DMV, CalTrans, and other local driving safety experts to learn about how to get a driver license, new laws for young drivers, how and where collisions occur, and safe driving tips. A special guest speaker will share a personal story about how a car crash can change a person’s life forever. Please join us at this special event- All teenagers and their parents are warmly welcomed!
