Northcoast Preparatory and Performing Art Academy (NPA) was voted 23rd best school in the United States; Newsweek 2009 (30th in 2008). A diamond among many precious stones in our community, NPA is seeking your support through financial sponsorships and/or goods and services. NPA founded in 2001 is charter school, therefore receives less funding from the state. We have facility, transportation and materials expenses that are not reimbursed by the state. in addition, our tirelessly devoted faculty and staff are compensated far below that of other public teachers in the county.

It is NPA’s mission not just educate our students, but to foster and instill respectful values and uphold the highest standards in regard to personal integrity and conduct and to promote the desire for excellence in one’s chosen pursuits, and encourage responsibility in choices made. As part of our curriculum students are required to participate in 20 hours of public service, as well as our seniors are expected to organize and lead a community service project .We encourage students “to be active learners, well rounded individuals and engaged world citizens”. To dispel a common myth that only rich kids go to NPA, over 40% of our students come from lower middle class family, single parent households, some below the poverty level and a number of foreign exchange students who have opportunities at NPA that might not exist elsewhere and that is what this letter is about… Please if you can…. help us, help them, help themselves.
