David Starfire artfully blends world music, hip hop and breakbeats to create an eclectic, signature sound that is catching the attention of music fans across the globe. The classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and DJ has performed world-wide and recently signed to international label Six Degrees Records, home to acclaimed artists Bebel Gilberto, Cheb i Sabbah, Karsh Kale, Midival Punditz, Michael Franti, Guadi/Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, DJ Spooky and many more. David Starfire’s EP, “Bombay Beatz”, reveals the possibility of a world united through sound, merging Hindi, Punjabi, and English vocals with hip-hop, UK breakbeats and traditional Middle Eastern instruments. “Because music and dancing is the great unifier that has no barriers.”

DJ T-dUb’s music career started in the early 90’s with a microphone, a mixer, keyboards and a drum machine. After a few years of making hip hop and trip hop beats he began mixing vinyl, starting with happy hardcore and jungle and moving into drum & bass, house, and breaks. His move from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe further evolved his musical style into something unique and ever changing. Over the past few years, T-dUb has played all over the west coast with both local and international DJ’s. He has collaborated with and been inspired by artists such as David Starfire, Ill Gates, and Micah J. Wanting to utilize his knowledge of sound, lighting, and production, T-dUb created Tahoe Breakz in 2006. Tahoe Breakz events take the crowd on a musical journey complete with light, sound, and most recently – video.

Deep Groove Society is a collective of people dedicated to the love of the music and the propagation of that love. We are in the deepest sense of the words a community. A community cannot function without everyone doing their part for the common goal. Our common goal is to come together to share the gifts that we have all been blessed with, while providing environments laced with love, respect, rhythm, vision, and higher forms of consciousness. Deep Groove Society consists of a widely diverse combination of artists, including dj’s, producers, technicians, promoters, photographers, and last but far from least, dancers. Dancing has been used since the beginning of time for everything from celebrating life to making crops grow. We recognize the power in vibrations and dancing, and we are doing everything we can as a collective community to spread the knowledge and emotions of this power.
