Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (DUHC) presents celebrated folk musician David Rovics in concert at the DUHC house on Tuesday March 16 at 7 p.m. The performance features politically conscious folk music at its best, advocating for social and environmental justice and calling for and end to war and globalization. Reminiscent of such influential artists as Phil Ochs, Rovics has been performing for over 15 years, inspiring and mobilizing through song in pursuit of a more humane world.
Supporting David Rovics will be local punk rock duo The Killer Bandits, offering their own poignant delivery of social advocacy through music.
Cost of the show is $5 - $10 sliding scale. The DUHC house is located at 1402 M St. in Eureka.
This event is a fundraiser for Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County, a local non-profit grassroots organization committed to challenging corporate rule and creating true democracy.
