Classic Car Show at Williams Grove

What:

Big Al Crawley and Gary Davis, who put on the Annual ‘Round Nevada Classic Car Tour, have teamed up with Soroptimist International of the Redwoods to put on a classic car show June 4th at Williams Grove.

The tour works in conjunction with the local Chamber of Commerce and business leaders of towns they stop in and they always ask, “What can we do for you and your charities”?  The idea of the tour is to bring people in from all over the U.S. and Canada to see the towns in the rural areas, “the towns without the glitz and glitter”, according to Big Al and Gary. While 50 – 80 classic cars stop by and visit the redwoods, the crowds can reminisce and remember “the good old days” while viewing the cars.

“It’s a real kick”, is the way Big Al talks about the tour. “Where else can you drive your old car and help people at the same time”? The 2008 tour donated to several charities and on the 2009 tour the Soroptimist of the Redwoods will be putting on a bar-b-que to raise money for their scholarship fund.

If you are interested in attending the show please call the Chamber of Commerce at 923-2613.

For additional information about the Annual ‘Round Nevada Classic Car Tour for 2009, please visit their website at: www.nevada-rides.com.

Car show is free and BBQ Buffet Lunch is $20.
